Friday LinkFest: 06.09.17 – Gingerly Witty

Friday LinkFest: 06.09.17

I can't believe it's already Friday. I almost forgot that Thursday = write Friday linkfest / newsletter. Anyway, here it is!

1. As much as I love my small little studio, I might be looking for something bigger like this new development down the line.

2. This yellow door and checkered floors! To die for!

3. I love seeing how other people make the most out of a studio apartment. I love this one.

4. Bloody Mary's are probably one of my favorite drinks. Who knew there were so many varieties?!

5. Bird was one of my shop inspirations when opening up GW. Can't wait to check out their new LA location in Culver City.

6. Minimalism doesn't come naturally to me. This was reassuring.

7. Mental health is something I'd like to talk about more here. This expresses a lot of my heartfelt sentiments about anti-depressants, which I take.

8. I've always wanted to be magnetically attractive. Hopefully these tips will help!

9. I moved to Boston right out of high school and then LA right out of college. I can't recommend leaving your hometown more!

10. I'm dying to travel some more lately. This is my reasoning.

Travel: Stories Books & Café + Around Echo Park

Gingerly Witty Travel Los Angeles Echo Park LA style fashion

Last Sunday, I had the honor of shooting with Annie Moses (@anniewmphoto) and Kimmy Shields at Stories Books & Café.

Stories is a favorite LA haunt of mine and it just so happens that it's right next door to our shop! Apart from being a local and independently run bookstore, the space doubles as a café, which includes a backyard patio. The menu is distinctly Californian fare, from their classic take on avocado toast with eggs, hummus platter, and...

Personal Style: Embroidery, a Jumpsuit, AND a Bandana

Gingerly Witty Personal Style: Embroidery, a Jumpsuit, AND a Bandana

The other day, Annie and I went out to grab some photos out and about in Echo Park. I wanted something casual, yet unique so I grabbed these LACAUSA overalls/jumpsuit, an embroidered tank and a white bandana to top off the look.

I love going out and simply taking photos with Annie. Not only is she super talented, but she's easy to work with and feel comfortable around even when you're not an expert model, which is...

Personal Style: Nothing Abstract About It

Abstract art is one of the hottest runway fashion inspirations. From Kadinski to Pollock, abstract prints have been "in" for quite some time. Our favorite abstract print? The one on our Anja Dress by Amanda Moss.

However, you might be thinking, "Erin, abstract art is cool and all. But wearing it? Forgeddaboutit!" Below are some examples of how to rock that abstract art through your clothes, whether your aim...
