Home Decor: Farmhouse Living – Gingerly Witty

Home Decor: Farmhouse Living

I adore city life. After all, I appreciate the ability to get an authentic taco at 1am on a Tuesday. But sometimes, sometimes, I imagine what it would be like to live in the country. I'd like to live in a farmhouse, to be exact. To have space to roam would be a dream and a huge step away from my studio apartment that is above what is soon to be a brewery. I imagine spending nights over wine with friends outside over a fire pit or on listening to the strum of the banjo on the porch swings. Perhaps situate myself amongst rolling hills and some place where you can see the stars shine bright at night.

Wow! I can't believe I almost forgot about our weekly linkfest! Things have been quite hectic on the personal side of things, but that seems to be settling down now. Anyway, let's get into it!

1. When I moved to LA I knew nobody. This is a helpful guide to making friends in a new city when you're an adult.

Travel: Stories Books & Café + Around Echo Park

Gingerly Witty Travel Los Angeles Echo Park LA style fashion

Last Sunday, I had the honor of shooting with Annie Moses (@anniewmphoto) and Kimmy Shields at Stories Books & Café.

Stories is a favorite LA haunt of mine and it just so happens that it's right next door to our shop! Apart from being a local and independently run bookstore, the space doubles as a café, which includes a backyard patio. The menu is distinctly Californian fare, from their classic take on avocado toast with eggs, hummus platter, and...

Personal Style: Embroidery, a Jumpsuit, AND a Bandana

Gingerly Witty Personal Style: Embroidery, a Jumpsuit, AND a Bandana

The other day, Annie and I went out to grab some photos out and about in Echo Park. I wanted something casual, yet unique so I grabbed these LACAUSA overalls/jumpsuit, an embroidered tank and a white bandana to top off the look.

I love going out and simply taking photos with Annie. Not only is she super talented, but she's easy to work with and feel comfortable around even when you're not an expert model, which is...

Personal Style: Nothing Abstract About It

Abstract art is one of the hottest runway fashion inspirations. From Kadinski to Pollock, abstract prints have been "in" for quite some time. Our favorite abstract print? The one on our Anja Dress by Amanda Moss.

However, you might be thinking, "Erin, abstract art is cool and all. But wearing it? Forgeddaboutit!" Below are some examples of how to rock that abstract art through your clothes, whether your aim...
